Apples, Pears and Weight Loss

Many people want to lose weight these days. Obesity and being overweight has reached epidemic proportions. There are many aesthetic reasons why people want to lose weight as they want to look good and fit into their jeans but the most important reason to lose weight is for health reasons.
We all carry our excess fat a little differently. One person may have thunder thighs with a large butt and a smaller upper body so she is shaped like a pear, while the next person will carry it all around the middle, in the abdominal region so that she is shaped more like an apple on a stick. The way we carry our fat contributes greatly to our good health.
The pear-shaped women, who carry all of their excess weight in their butt and thighs, are at a health advantage over the apple shaped women. While they may have more trouble finding "jeans that fit" and they may struggle with body image just as much as the apple-shaped woman, they do not have the same health issues to contend with. The fat they carry on their butts and thighs is not necessarily detrimental to their health.
Apple shaped women, who carry the excess weight in their abs and middle are at higher risk for heart disease, diabetes and other health problems. The problem is that the fat accumulates around the internal organs and prevents their bodies from functioning as well as possible. A pear-shaped woman does not have this problem because of course there are no internal organs in our butts and thighs!
To determine if you are an apple or a pear, you must compute your waist-hip ratio. Divide your waist in inches by your hips in inches and if the result is o.8 or less you are considered to be a pear. If the result is more than 0.8 then you are an apple shape. For example a 28 inch waist divided by a 38 inch hip is 0.73 a pear, while a 32 inch waist divided by the same 38 inch hip is 0.84 or an apple.
While a pear may lament her big butt and thunder thighs it is typically more of a body image problem, while the apple can be facing some very serious health risks. Exercise and a wise diet are crucial if you are apple shaped and losing even as little as 2 inches off your waist can improve your health risks. If you are shaped like and apple, increase your cardio and concentrate on consuming a diet rich in fiber by consuming more fruits, vegetables, beans and legumes, and lean protein sources such as fish and skinless chicken.
One advantage that an apple-shaped woman has is that the fat that accumulates in the abdominal region tends to come off much faster than the fat that accumulates in the butt and thighs. The fat in the butt and thighs is much more stubborn and it will require much more diligence with dieting and exercise to finally come off.
We cannot control our body type and how we carry our excess fat but we can do whatever is possible to lose weight and gain health.

In todays society millions of people are changing there ways of life with different diets, exercises, and various different types of weight loss programs. Now it seems like the "in" thing is to have the perfect young looking body, Which many men and women want to succeed and have. The problem is that many people don't know how to loose the weight the correct way or the healthy way.
You shouldn't put your life in front of having the perfect body or to be a size 2. It is extremely important to take care of yourself first and choose a reasonable weight loss target to fit your body and your life's schedule. That is another problem, many people try so hard to stick with a diet but when lunch time comes around and everyone near you at you job is ordering takeout or is going to that restraint that you love it seems impossible to stick with your diet.
Most people end up giving in and then they stop there diet and complain about how they feel horrible about the way they look and feel. If you are serious about loosing weight then you need to be serious and stick with it and be motivated about it. Put a picture up on the wall of that perfect body that you have always dreamed off and focus on it and start working hard on getting it.
If that is not enough motivation then just think about how bad being overweight is for you. It is a constant struggle and can put your life at risk. It seems like a healthy way to diet is to calorie count and maintain what you eat in moderation. You should not starve yourself and its not fair not being able to eat that ice cream that you love to eat every night. Eat it, but in moderation, I know you have heard about this before but really it does work. With a healthy diet plan and daily workout routine you should be able to achieve your perfect body.

7 Surprising Secrets of Successful Weight Loss

Ever wanted to know the techniques and tricks used by those who successfully lost weight, and kept it off?
Thanks to a scintillating survey conducted by popular weight loss site SparkPeople - we've now got some road-tested tips to give you the best chance at managing weight.

As part of an updated paperback version of the bestselling book The Spark, (new edition here), the authors at Spark-people undertook a comprehensive survey of over 2,000 members. Why do 50% of people report losing momentum within 2 weeks of starting a diet? And why do 18% fizz out within just 3 days?

The answer is the 'strong start'. These strong starters lost twice as much weight in the first two weeks, and were five times more likely to reach goals than the false starters.
Track Food and Calories
Both strong and false starters ranked "food tracking" as the one action that made the biggest difference in their programs. 82% of strong starters tracked food every day vs. 65% of false starters, and strong starters were twice as likely to track their calories.Don't put certain foods off limits
Strong starters were less likely to label foods "good" or "bad" and forsake certain foods, and were three times more likely to use portion control techniques that supported consumption of unhealthier foods in moderation.Spend LESS time exercising
On average, strong starters exercised for 30 minutes during the first two weeks; false starters for 60 minutes, suggesting that false starters burned themselves out.Focus on both diet and exercise
74 percent of false starters made both fitness and dietary changes from the outset, compared to 50 percent offalse starters.Engage more with others/have a support network
Strong starters were more than twice as likely to communicate with other members online.Weigh yourself weekly, not daily
Most strong starters weighed themselves weekly, while the majority of false starters did so daily.Focus first and foremost on developing healthy habits, not losing weight
Most strong starters viewed their #1 goal as "building a strong foundation of healthy habits." A majority of false starters made losing 3-4 pounds in their first two weeks their #1 goal, which backfired.Note that these methods worked for many people - but we are all individuals and is it important to find out what works for you.
A big thanks to Sparkpeople and the folks and DailySpark for allowing us to publish this.

Some Proven Weight Loss Tips

Did you read the latest news headline or here the latest TV commercial on fat loss? Surely, you know now you can lose 15 pounds overnight whilst sleeping and still eat anything and everything you want and never gain it back? No vigorous exercise needed just take a little miracle pill and the weight will just fall off?
Unfortunately I have heard this rubbish, more times than "I can shake a stick at" you can't believe a single word of it. So! Now be prepared for some quality weight loss information you can trust.
Take a minute and think about this. It is quite possible that it is not your responsibility that you are fat. That's right! In fact there is a possibility that the reason you are carrying that extra weight is because of genetics. That's right it's in your family tree, if your family tree shows a history of overweight, you may well have inherited the same fat gene. But, there is always a "but"; you may be making things worse by not eating health food and living a very inactive lifestyle.
Now, just because you may have inherited some of the fat genes, it is still up to you to take responsibility for compounding the situation. Once you take responsibility, it will be a lot easier for you to make the decision that things are going to change. Not only do you have get rid of some excess weight but you have to do something about your lifestyle as well. Because being overweight can cause life threatening diseases and failure to lose weight is not an option.
The first step is to get an appointment with your personal medical doctor, to make sure you don't have an illness that may be responsible for your overweight. At the same time your doctor will be able to tell you if you're fit enough to start a weight reduction plan. They can also give you some advice on setting goals that are practical and realistic for safely dropping those pounds.
It is important that you set obtainable goals. They need to be set just high enough to be a challenge, but not so high that you have to go on a "500 calorie diet" and possibly get discouraged too quickly. If your doctor suggests to you that you should get rid of 40 pounds, it is wise to break those 40 lbs down into smaller bite size pieces. (Excuse the joke)
The best way of doing this is to set a long term goal of shedding the 40 pounds over a six month period. Then break this down to smaller goals of only 6.5 lbs a month. Then you can break it down even further to about one pound a week. Can you see how you now have an easily achievable goal?
Once you have your weight loss goals set, you now need to work on an exercise plan. If you have been living an inactive life for a long time, then the best place to start off is with walking. This will help you to gently redevelop your muscles in your legs and arms, and get them back to working again.
Within a couple of weeks you should be up to walking a half mile to a mile. As your lungs and fitness start to improve you should find yourself able to walk more briskly. Walking will be most effective when you reach and can maintain a heart rate of about 120 beats a minute for about 20 minutes.
So where do you start? Well the best place to start is at the very beginning... By first accepting your personal responsibility for your health.
Tried and tested weight loss techniques are my specialty, from the 500 calorie diet to the Low gi diet, to super fruits such as the, maqui berry, goji berries and the acai berries

The Best Way To Lose Weight Is To Do These Five Things

If you're like many overweight people you've probably tried countless fad diets, more than one celebrity diets and fallen for a few old wives tales too, but every time you check the scale the chub is still there. Even if it does go away for awhile, it always creeps back on as soon as you stop the diet. Am I right? Well, here are a few tips that will lead you back on the road to a healthy you.
If you implement what I'm about to share with you, you will have a much better chance to have adequate weight loss, zero weight related health problems, healthy body, reduce stress, great self esteem and more. Would you like to hear more? Let's rock!
The best way to lose weight is...
#1. Avoid junk foods - This is a no brainer. Processed sugars are the worst thing ever created by man and are the worst thing to happen to our diet since the invention of Coca Cola back in the late 1800's, not to mention our teeth. Fast food restaurants like Micky D's, Taco Hell, Dun-Kin Donuts and others have contributed to the massive obesity that's now happening in America and is spreading to other countries. Don't let this happen to you or your children!
#2. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables - Contrary to popular belief, fruits and veggies were not picked in the can. They are much better for you fresh and they have many more vitamins when they haven't been processed.
#3. Reduce your intake of red meat - Hey, I love it too, but the fact of the matter is that too much of a good thing is bad for you. Eliminate fatty hamburger and eat smaller 4-6 oz. portions of lean red meat. Broil or grill your meat instead of frying it.
#4. Eat more fresh fish - I'm not talking about breaded fish sticks that just came in at the store. I'm talking about fresh wild salmon and other wild fish that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
#5. Get off your backside - Exercise coupled with diet is proven to increase weight loss NINE TIMES faster than doing one or the other alone. Exercise at least 30-45 minutes per day, four days per week. Some fitness experts recommend that you exercise six days per week. Simply rotate on a light day, heavy day schedule and work different muscles each day.
Whether you take the advice above is completely up to you and I refuse to be responsible whether you do or don't. I'm not trying to be mean, but you were big enough to put the weight on so now it's time for you to be big enough to take it off. It's your body, your life, your health.
The bottom line is that the best way to lose weight is to get off your rear end and take action starting today!

The Muscle Gain Diet - For Skinny People, This Type of Diet is a Must If You Want to Gain Weight

A muscle gain diet that can help you gain muscle is generally much different from those that are a "healthy" choice for any individual. Following the normal American diet for fat loss will hamper you gains in the gym, regardless how long you have trained for. After a few small changes to your normal diet for losing weight, we can start building on that foundation.
It is generally knowledge that diets that contain meats and various sources of nutrients such as complex carbohydrates, low glycemic fruits, dark green vegetables all can help facilitate the muscle building process. During this phase of lifting, it is important to note you may gain a few pounds in fat due to the surplus of calories at each meal. Some will be fat, some water and then muscle tissue. This process is called bulking up.
A bodybuilder's muscle gain diet contains quite a bit more protein than other regular diets designed just to keep you fit. But when you are trying to build muscle, you want to eat a surplus of calories. Remember, you can't look like a beast while eating like a bird. Your body needs fuel to grow. Do not worry about excess fat gain as long as you are exercising correctly, this will help burn off any calories that would normally be stored as fat.
The most important macronutrient for a bodybuilder is protein. Protein can be found in all sources of meat. Beans also contain protein, but it is an incomplete protein, meaning it does not contain the full chain of amino acids to act as a protein in the body. To make beans a complete protein, add rice and you will have a balanced meal full of carbohydrates, protein and low amounts of fat, or you can use fat free beans! Muscle gain diets are not as difficult to follow as you may think.
For skinny people this type of diet is a must if you are looking to gain weight.

Don't let past attempts keep you from achieving your goals. You can learn how to muscle gain diet fast if you know what steps to follow. To learn more about how to build muscle for skinny people and get a free report with tips to get you started Click Here.

Truth About Abs - Losing Weight the Safe Healthy Way- By George Bruneau

The truth about abs is what people need to understand and that staying energetic as well as eating right are essential for long-term well being, health and fitness and that an ounce of prevention is going to be really worth a pound of cure. The more knowledge you have about truth about abs as well as exactly how the body responds to one's own lifestyle choices or decision, the better you could personalize a diet and workout plan that is ideal for you. When you eat healthy, improve your amount of physical process, and exercise with the proper intensity, you will be telling the body you want to burn a considerable amount of energy. That means burning fat more efficiently for energy.
The true reason of exercise will be to keep sending some sort of repetitive message to your body asking to gain improvement in metabolism, energy, cardio capacity as well as complete health and fitness. Any time you work out, the body responds by increasing the abilities to burn off excess fat during the day and night, Exercising does not need to be intense to work for you, however it does have to be consistent for maximum improvement to the body.
I highly recommend truth about abs together with participating in regular cardio exercising four times each week for 20 to 30 minutes per session, plus resistance training four times per week for 20 to 25 minutes per session. This specific properly balanced method provides a one-two punch, adding aerobic exercise in order to burn off fat along with deliver much more oxygen, plus resistance training which will increase toned body mass and eliminate a lot more calories around the clock.
Here is a sample workout program that may be good enough:
* Stretching -- Wrap up the exercise session by stretches, breathing deeply, relaxing and meditating.
* Warm-up -- Seven to eight minutes of mild cardio activity which is designed to increase blood circulation and lubricate plus warm-up your tendons and joints.
* Resistance Training -- Work most key muscle groups. One to two group for each workout. Rest 45 seconds between sets.
* Aerobic Exercise -- Select two favorite activities, they can be running, rowing, biking as well as cross-country skiing, whatever fits peoples lifestyle. Complete 12 to 15 minutes connected with the first exercise in addition continue with ten minutes of the second exercise. Cool off during the entire final several minutes.
When beginning an workout program, it will be vital that you have practical expectations. Depending on ones initial level of fitness, an individual should prepare for any following changes in the beginning.
This is the easy routine to guide you to live a proper life and also have more energy to be able to enjoy your day which is exactly how truth about abs can help with fat loss.

How Fitness and Weight Boot Camps Guarantee Results

People are willing to shell out money to lose weight. They are even keener to pay more if the result is guaranteed to be fast. Most of us always look for quick fix to everything because we want to see immediate results. This is the reason that the popularity and the demand for fitness and weight boot camps are escalating.
Boot camps can guarantee a transformation from a flabby arms and bulging belly to a toned body physique. Of course, there is no magic formula to attain that toned body. It is always a product of proper exercise and healthy diet but this formula can be more effective if you understand the science of weight loss. It means that you drop your weight faster and tone your body more rapidly if the classic equation of exercise and diet is applied smartly.
This is the secret as why the boot camps can guarantee quick results. They know, understand and apply the science of weight loss. So what are the components that contribute to fast result of losing extra pounds in your body?
The major key players are exercise and diet. The rule is simple - burn more calories than what you take. Burning 500-calories daily can result to losing a pound or two in a week. Imagine if you exercise more then you drop more weight in a week. Also, the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn. This is the chief reason that fitness and weight loss boot camps target these two factors.
When you enlist in boot camps, your exercise program is geared towards cardiovascular workouts and strength training while it focuses on the major muscle groups of the body. This aims to replace your fats with muscles.
On the other hand, your diet is also monitored by nutritionist to ensure that you have the right nutrition while losing weight. You can expect more vegetable and fruits in your meal plan with minimal fat rich food. If you are indeed serious in your weight loss plan, then always complement your exercise with nutritious and low calorie meal.
Also, a conducive atmosphere and activities play a vital role for guaranteed weight loss result in boot camps. Why do you always fail in your diet program? Are you exposed to scrumptious desserts? Or do you hang out with friends who lead sedentary lifestyle? These situations can sabotage your diet.
Unlike in fitness and weight loss boot camps, you are surrounded with people who have the same goal as you. They are good source of motivation especially when you are falling off the wagon. On top of that, they create an environment structured for fitness activities and workouts. This venue which is equipped with facilities and run by certified trainers will certainly stimulate your desire to pursue your goal.
These are the reasons that fitness and weight loss boot camps can guarantee effective weight loss in a shorter time frame.

Weight Watchers PointsPlus published

For 13 years, the essential principle of Weight Watchers plan has been "calories in calories out" - using a slide rule or tools online to calculate how many "points" a given food or drink contains based on calories, fat and fiber allowed dieters to remain within a target of daily points to control their consumption of calories and lose weight.

Now, Weight Watchers has announced that its new PointsPlus system will have general nutrition food counts, helping members to create a diet with a healthy balance of proteins, carbohydrates, healthy fat and fiber. The message helps dieters to understand that the use of their points into a nutrient-rich food is a better choice than using the same number of points in something not-for-nutritious. The new plan also takes account how difficult the body has to work in order to use the energy of a particular food and continues to be a focus on the choice of filling of food that I leave hungry sooner rather than later.

I have spoken often of Weight Watchers and I am excited to get more information about the changes. I must admit that I am one of those people "change is scary" and I liked the version of points, but I think it is a good change.
For me the best I've heard - until now - is that the majority of fruits and vegetables will count as zero points! I believe that this will be great news for those finding any diet very difficult due to hunger - headaches are able to reach for fruits and vegetables more anytime to curb your appetite and stay on track in the new plan.
If you currently attend Weight Watchers meetings or follow the program online, do you think the changes?

What Secret the Weight Loss Industry Doesn't Want You to Know

Want to know the best kept secret of the weight loss industry? This one secret works every time, all the time. It doesn't involve expensive prepackaged diet meals. You don't need to take expensive herbal pills or fancy health tonic. There is no concern for counting calories or fat grams. You won't be concerned about if the carbs are high glycemic or low glycemic. Let's see, what else, NO MORE measuring portions, ever!

Just what miracle weight loss program fits this?? No way, you say, there is no such program anywhere. Weight loss diets have to be bland, fussy, expensive, or you have to spend hours at the gym working out.

Are you ready to hear about this old, new way to safely lose weight? It is called fasting! Now just hang in there a minute. Before you close this page, take a minute to listen. I know you have heard all sorts of information about how your muscle eats itself when you go without food for more than 4 hours. You may have heard that your metabolism will come to a halt if you stop eating solid food for a time.

Let's stop a minute and think. Science says the opposite. There are numerous studies that prove that if nothing else, your muscles maintain and even build while fasting, so long as you stay active while you are on a fast. During a 24 hour fast and up to 30 hours, growth hormone increases. You read that right - it increases. This is the same growth hormone celebrities pay big bucks to get injected into them to stay young looking, folks and you get it free, while on a fast.

It is this growth hormone that helps you maintain muscle mass during a fast. So, there is no concern here about your muscle being eaten away when you go without food for more than 12 hours (the time between dinner and breakfast). The trick is to continue with your daily tasks and even do weight training.

Maybe we should clarify something. We are talking about fasting for 24 hours and no more than 72 hours per fast. This intermittent type of fast never lets your body get into a "desperation" mode where it shuts everything off. And no, your metabolism doesn't come to a halt when you fast. Studies show that while it does slow down, it doesn't stop. Then begins to take up right where it left off just before the fast within 24 hours.

So while your metabolism may slow down, you will still burn body fat during a fast. Which is our goal, right? Then on the days when you are not fasting, you simply eat what you are used to - no more and no less. No fussing over carbs, calories or fat.

Do you see why the weight loss industry would not like this to get spread around? There is no money in fasting. NO expensive pills, treatments, meals, guru diet plans, no laboratory tests or anything! Just go without food for 24 to 72 hours. It is too simple. And there is no money in "simple".

Middle Age Weight Gain and How to Avoid It!

Many women in their youth, teens, 20's and even 30's, will have no problem managing their weight or losing excess pounds when they make an effort to do so. It's around middle age when all of a sudden it seems that their old tactics for weight loss or weight management no longer work, and worse, they seem to be gaining weight faster than ever. In my coaching practice, this is when I most often here the phrase, "It all feels so out of control!!"
I have studied healthy weight management for 15 years and have counseled hundreds of women on healthy weight management. One thing I know for sure is in this industry, nothing stays the same and there are a lot of mixed messages.
Low fat, low carb, lifestyle change, weight watchers, Jenny Craig, margarine is good for you, margarine is bad for you, fitness is the key, set points, food points, blah, blah, blah.
I have followed it all, made my own conclusions that I have determined from my education and experience were the right conclusions, and that have worked for me personally to maintain my weight for 21 years.
Then I hit midlife. All of a sudden, my body started expanding! My clothes began to get tight and I went up a size. I was still doing all the same things I've always done, so what was happening to me?
I searched for answers. I part of me started to just accept the weight gain as a natural component of getting older, but another part of me resisted this kind of thinking. There had to be another explanation for why I was gaining weight, other than my changing middle age metabolism.
What I found from my search was shocking. All the time, in my 20's 30's and 40's, I followed what I thought was a healthy way of eating according to medical science, the American Heart Association and the the popular medical journals. I ate a diet that consisted of mostly carbs, fruits, vegetables, and grains, about 20-30% of the "good" fats, and about 20-30% lean proteins. I didn't deprive myself of my favorite foods, I just ate them in moderation. I also had a few bad habits, but felt my good habits out weighed them. I drank caffeinated coffee and had developed the habit of having a glass of wine or two with my dinner every evening.
What I learned is that exact diet has done a lot of damage to me physically over all those years of trying to be so "good"!! Even though it seemed to be working, damage was being done on a cellular level from my over consumption of carbs and stimulants (caffeine and alcohol) and it was only a matter time that this imbalance would make it self known with sudden weight gain and intense menopausal symptoms. So, actually, I can thank menopause for this discovery and the start of reversing the damage!
Here are some of the things I learned:
1. Eating a low fat diet can make you fat!
o Eating dietary fat is essential for the regeneration of healthy tissues, hormone production, a healthy immune system and for maintaining ideal body composition.
o A low fat diet, when combined with a high carbohydrate intake leads to insulin resistance and accelerated metabolic aging.
o Fats that you eat do not turn into fat on your body because fat cannot be stored without the presence of insulin because insulin is the key to opening up the doors to store fat in fat cells. No matter how much fat you eat, it does not stimulate the pancreas to secrete insulin! Only too many refined carbs can do that!
o When you are constantly watching your fat intake, you naturally fill in with foods that contain carbohydrates. When you take in mostly carbs, you have high levels of blood sugar being delivered to your liver. All your liver knows is it needs to protect your brain from getting too much sugar, so when it is done distributing the sugar where it is needed for energy, the rest gets stored as fat.
2. You can eat as much as you want without worrying about weight gain.
o Your body can and will regulate the amounts of fat and protein you digest, but it cannot regulate the amount of carbs you consume. When you eat too much sugar (all carbs turn into sugar in the body), your body over produces insulin which leads to plaguing of the arteries, heart disease, and in diabetes.
3. Butter is good for you. Ha!
o Eating saturated fats like butter increases the proportion of HDL's in the bloodstream. This is good because HDL's take cholesterol back to the liver and keep your arteries clean.
o The cells of the body cannot recognize or metabolize "damaged" fats. Damaged fats include processed fats, polyunsaturated fats used for cooking, deep fried foods, hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils (margarines), and charred fats on meats.
4. Not all carbs are bad, but not all "whole grains" are good.
o Sounds confusing, but really it's not. Any carbs in excess raises insulin levels. The best carbs to eat are whole grains, legumes, starchy and non-starchy vegetables and fruit. Avoid man-made carbs, including whole wheat processed breads. Fresh baked bread is preferable because it contains no additives, (but not very convenient, so eat whole grain breads from the bakery.)
o Always eat any carbs along with fat or protein to slow down the digestion of the carbs into sugar and keep the levels of insulin balanced.
5. Balance is the key.
o This is not a high protein, low carb program. That way of eating causes excessive ketones in the blood. This is extremely dangerous because your body is breaking down healthy tissue and causing imbalances in the body.
o Fast and healthy are not synonymous when it comes to losing body fat. Losing body fat in a healthy way means your metabolism is working to use your stored fat as energy. To lose body fat, you need to heal your metabolism so it becomes more efficient at using fat for fuel.
o The fact is you must eat to become healthy and achieve your ideal body composition. And it takes time. Optimum health is not about losing weight. It's about balance and shifting your focus away from numbers on the scale or measuring foods to the things that really matter-improved mood, more energy, a healthier, more efficient metabolism and a lifetime of all the above!
o Eating a variety of foods, never skipping meals, and eating "real" foods, is the best way to achieve balance.
o Eat all the good fats, proteins, non-starchy vegetables your body needs and eat enough whole grain, non-processed carbs according to your current level of activity. More active people need more carbs.
Since making an effort to include more real fats, better carbs, and non-processed fresh and organic foods into my diet, I have noticed my energy and moods improve, my weight has stabilized and gone back down some, and I am feeling generally healthier and just better mentally knowing I am healing the damage done from years of eating the wrong "healthy" foods.
You can do this too. It's not an overnight solution-but if there is anything we've learned by this age-nothing of real value is. Below are the studies and the work I have drawn most of my information from. Check them out for yourself and do what feels right for you.

Weight Loss Tips For Type 2 Diabetes

If you are like many people with type 2 diabetes, losing weight is a major goal. A goal that will help you control and perhaps even eliminate your diabetes. Unfortunately, for many losing weight is not an easy task. Add to the fact that everywhere you look there's the new and greatest diet, pill or potent promising to help you lose weight and keep it off.
It can be very hard to know who to trust or what to do to lose those unwanted pounds. Yet, if you are overweight, losing the pounds will help you get better diabetes control and greatly improve your health, your energy, and your longevity. Use the tips below to find a plan that works for you.
1. Don't attempt major weight loss alone. See a nutritionist. A nutritionist can help you develop a plan of action that will take the weight off without having you feel deprived. Plus, you won't be trying something you hope will work. You'll be getting information from a professional provider that knows what works.

2. Set your goals and your attitude for success. The mental aspect of losing weight will dictate to a large degree the amount of success you have. Focus on the benefits of losing weight. Get a mental picture of yourself without the extra pounds. Keep your focus on the positive end results, rather than using negative self-talk, or constantly complaining to yourself or others about what you can't eat, or other aspects of losing weight.

3. Get and stay active. Regular exercise is another important key to permanent weight loss. Combine aerobics and strength training to form a new more fit body for you. Exercising has many health benefits. Learn to make it a regular part of your life.

4. Focus on natural weight loss. Find and implement a lifestyle change rather than just a diet until you lose weight. Taking special pills, or supplemental nutrition drinks until you lose weight could be a big mistake. What happens when you stop using those products? The weight will come back so instead focus on adapting food choices you can make a permanent part of your life.
Follow the four simple steps and you'll see a big difference in your weight, your diabetes control, and your life.

Weight Loss Mindset

Here is a catch for all those who want to get rid of fats fast. Firstly you are not alone in this quest. Our brain tells us to lose weight but heart desires for junk food, pizza, chocolate cake. You should never get depressed at such situation. There are many ways to get rid of weight. You should not have restless days and sleepless nights that you are over weight. Now this is the right moment to get rid of overload of fat. As they say "it's now or never". For this ordeal we should discuss some ways to reduce weight. There are diets, weight loss pills, and fitness programs. It is recommended to discuss these before going into further debate.
First I will inquire you about your intake of weight loss pills. Taking weight loss pills is not a strange phenomenon. Every day quite large number of American people you can say millions of us take refuge in such pills (many American people are tired of there excess weight) for the solution of this problem. It is highly advised to know "all pills are not good". That is the reason you need to be well versed at this.
Before taking any weight loss pill you should have all the information about its good and bad effects on your health. It is best to consult a doctor before doing anything about fat reduction. Quite a large number of doctors will advise you to stay away from such pills and have good balanced diets and suitable exercises. Many people think taking weight loss pills is their only way out from this situation.
But my friend let me be honest with you: getting rid off huge bundles of fat is not easy task. You should have all the information, is a pill good for you or it will harm your body? The internet is an excellent source of advertisement of weight loss pills. I will advise all to stay away from such pills as they will harm your health and lose of money too. Many of these advertised pills will spoil your body. Several of them are not pleasing for your body. What happens when you use them is that they draw water off your body and consequently make you feel and look lighter. But the unwanted fat is not reduced. Thus be more careful and do you research, when you want to lose fats fast.
It is strongly recommended when your heart desires to reduce fats and lose weight consult a good physician.
